TITLE: Mad-Lib Valentine MEDIUM: Ink with Digital Colors and Textures I did this for fun, for Valentine's Day, 2009. My good friend suggested I draw Tezcatlipoca, one of my bloodthirsty Aztec god characters, with the smoke from the mirror on his head coming away in little hearts. I expanded on this idea, had him struck by Cupid's arrow, and turning, smitten, to Quetzalcoatl ("Feathered Serpent"), clearly forgetting all of that "mortal enemy" business. I originally had words in the speech bubbles, but then I decided to make it a Mad-Lib instead. Elsewhere, I invited people to fill in the blanks with their own dialogue, and promised a free sketch to the author of my favorite interpretation. |
