My good friend who created An'Desha, Redshift, Malebranche, and her Wonderland's version of the Caterpillar also created, of course, a unique Cheshire Cat.  He is very thin, probably homicidal, and enjoys driving others mad with the sound of the bell on his collar.  He has 13 belts on his pants, long claws, and his grin stretches up the sides of his face, actually contained by stitches.  He is most creepy.

This maquette was created with SuperSculpey clay over a wire armature.  It stands about 12 inches high.  The bell at the collar is an actual bell and still rings, and the stitches on the face were carefully inserted snips of thin wire.  The claws on both hands and feet were baked separately and glued on like press-on nails.  This was done to avoid burning them, as they were very thin.
