Several years ago, someone requested that I draw an emodiment of "time" as an entitiy that would frighten the Mad Hatter in my friend's Wonderland world.  I had fun with this, and used all sorts of visual jokes.  The being has three hands, like a clock.  The Roman numerals are arranged around its body in a clockwise manner.  It has wings at its heels, because Time flies, and it is draped in chains to represent the way Time binds us all, and is inescapeable.  I have often wished to create a 3-D figurine of this image.  I think it would be great fun.
